Conferences

CMC3 is all about the enjoyment of, and teaching and learning of mathematics, and so has much to offer students. We welcome students at the Fall conference in December at Monterey and at our Spring Conference in April at Lake Tahoe. Any full time community college mathematics student can attend a conference and listen to invited speakers present what they know about mathematics and mathematics teaching. The conference cost for students is just $5.00. Students also have the opportunity to lunch at the conference for an additional cost.

Scholarships

The CMC3 Foundation awards an average of $6,000 a year in scholarships every year to students attending Northern California community colleges.

Student Presentation Contest

At the Fall Conference students are offered an opportunity to take part in a student research presentation contest, with participants receiving scholarships.

Student Speaker

Prior to the Spring Conference. a student speaker competition takes place with the winner giving a talk at the Spring conference. The selected student receives a scholarship.
